Michele A. Glinn, PhD, F-ABFT
Forensic Toxicologist and Scientific Director
Michele Glinn is a board-certified forensic toxicologist and current Scientific Director for Averhealth, a clinical and forensic laboratory located in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Glinn is a fellow of the American Board of Forensic Toxicology and holds a Clinical Laboratory Director Certification for the State of New York. She was previously an Assistant Director of the State Department of Toxicology in Indiana, the Program Coordinator of the Michigan State Police Toxicology Unit and the Laboratory Director for Essential Testing before joining Averhealth, initially as Laboratory Director and currently as Scientific Director. She has extensive experience analyzing multiple types of biological and non-biological samples for alcohol, drugs and contaminants as well as interpretation of results in all manner of forensic cases. She is also a qualified expert in breath alcohol testing and laboratory accreditation. She is a frequently requested expert witness in criminal and civil cases involving toxicology, having testified several hundred times in multiple states and federal court. She conducts frequent training sessions for law enforcement and drug court professionals, attorneys and judges and has appeared as a guest lecturer on forensic and clinical toxicology to pharmacy and forensic science students at the university level. She is a frequent consultant for criminal and civil attorneys as well as for clinical laboratory professionals and currently sits on several committees for the American Academy of Forensic Sciences Standards Board, the Society of Forensic Toxicologists and the Midwestern Association for Toxicology and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring.
