Personnel turnovers are a constant in Recovery Courts. Team members need to be updated on the Best Practices and the new research that supports them. In this session JSI Associate Judge Geno Salomone (Ret.) will revisit Best Practices related to your target population with an emphasis on treatment and on sanctions and incentives. Also, the need for utilizing individualized sentencings and the use of motivational communication methods by all team members will be incorporated into this session. During this session, attendees will:

1. Learn to focus on the needs of the individual participant.
2. Identify effective incentives and sanctions
3. Develop a better understanding of motivational communications.
4. Understand new methods for targeting participants.
