Online Training for Treatment Court Judges and Attorneys

The Justice Speakers Institute (JSI) developed a comprehensive online orientation and training program for judges and attorneys newly joining Tennessee Treatment Court teams. This program features recorded webinars covering essential topics, including:

• Substance Use Disorders
• Drug and Alcohol Testing
• Targeting High-Risk Participants

This training is designed to complement other in-person or online training programs and enhance the understanding of Treatment Court best practices. It provides valuable information for judges, district attorneys, and public defenders as they begin working with established Treatment Court teams.

While Recovery Court teams may vary in approach, all Certified Tennessee Recovery Courts follow the 10 Key Components and adhere to best practice standards to ensure their effectiveness. JSI’s training expands on these principles, offering new team members a solid foundation to support their work in improving outcomes for participants.
